What an AGM!

The NZ Specialty Coffee Association had its highly successful AGM at the weekend – 18 and 19 May – in Auckland.
A series of five individual events including an Auckland roasters tour, Friday night informal party, AGM, craft beer hour and a formal dinner at a pop-up location.

Held at the gorgeous Kokako cafe on Great North Rd, almost one hundred members gathered together to chat and catch up before the formal proceedings the next day.
AGM

 

Over one hundred started the day at 8am with a delicious brew bar from members Coffee Lab, Espresso Workshop, Coffee Supreme, flight Coffee and an espresso bar from the NZ Barista Guild at stunning venue the Nathan Club at Britomart.

Lunch was held at Tyler St Garage courtesy of John Burton Ltd. And a 15 minute run through from NZ Barista Champion Aymon McQuade kept the day well alive.
BioCup Craft Beer hour
The formalities came to the perfect close with an hour of craft beer presented by craft beer guru Luke from Epic. The synergies between craft beer, hops and coffee, green beans keeping the questions animated and interesting!
Huhtamaki divine dinner
Pop-up location Michael Lett Gallery provided the most special and outstanding venue for the last of the events – the divine dinner.
