SCAA Instructor Development Program (IDP) – New Zealand
Hosted by the New Zealand Specialty Coffee Association and Bell Tea & Coffee.
The SCAA Instructor Development Program is one of our most popular professional development programs. Coffee Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) get to be students as they learn about applied adult learning concepts in the workplace, including instructional design (based on the ADDIE model developed by the American Society for Training & Development), testing, and presentation skills.
Upon completion of the one-day program, students earn the SCAA Lead Instructor Credential and are eligible to volunteer as an Instructor for SCAA. Many students also report an increase in skills pertaining to training and instructional design in their own companies after completing the IDP.
