World Brewers Cup is being held in Gothenburg, Sweden 16-18th June 2015
The NZ Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) holds the license for the national leg of the Brewer’s Cup Championship. The competition is held in strict accordnce with the World event.
This event is being held centre stage in Caffeination ‘Nz’s Festival of Coffe’
About the AeroPress NZ Brewers Cup
The AeroPress NZ Brewers Cup competition highlights the craft of filter coffee brewing by hand, promoting manual coffee brewing and service excellence.
In this Championship, competitors prepare and serve three individual beverages for a panel of judges. The Championship consists of two rounds: a first round and a finals round. During the first round competitors complete two coffee services – a compulsory service and an open service.
For the compulsory service, competitors prepare three beverages using whole bean coffee provided to them by the competition.
For the open service, competitors may use any whole bean coffee of their choosing and must also accompany their beverage preparation with a presentation. The competitor with the highest score will be named AeroPress NZ Brewers Cup Champion.
All competitiors will need to be on site by 8am for the compulsory service practice times & compulsory service section of the championship.
