Member company, Ozone Coffee Roasters are thrilled to be hosting the inaugural New Zealand AeroPress Championship at their New Plymouth Roastery on February 14th, 2015.
As the exclusive NZ distributor of the AeroPress, Ozone Coffee Roasters is excited about forming an event to find the first ever NZ AeroPress Champion who will represent New Zealand in the 2015 World AeroPress Championships in Seattle in April.
The head judge for 2015 is celebrated coffee royalty, Tim Varney, who will be flying from Melbourne, Australia to judge with the three competition judges – Paul Newbold, Jess Godfrey and Meg Wyper – making this an incredibly high-caliber judging panel.
First prize is flights and accommodation for the winner to represent New Zealand in Seattle at the World AeroPress Championships in April 2015 as well as the honour of being New Zealand’s first AeroPress Champion, with prizes for second and third place.
The event is open to the public to watch the action, the venue opens at 4pm with the competition starting at 5pm sharp.
