What is your earliest coffee related experience?
I started at High School and got used to it when I was in university.
What did you want to be when you were a kid?
I always wanted to be an artist like my uncle.
When did you first get working in coffee?
I started working with coffee when I came to New Zealand which was August 2016.
What led you to become a barista?
Working as a barista makes me feel happiest, and that is what I am good at as well.
Most people say passion, and I say the same as well. 🙂
What is the best part of your job?
I like mostly watching people drinking my coffee when the rush has just finished and asking about what they can taste in the coffee.
What is your favourite brew method and/or coffee origin and why?
Just ordinary espresso. I have not learned yet about the other brewing methods, but I want to learn.
Tulip or rosetta or swan?
I love swan, I like rosetta and I deserve tulip!
What are your interests outside of coffee?
Meeting people, surfing, drawing.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
I feel like I am staying here in New Zealand forever.
How do you see the coffee industry changing in the future?
It is like a fashion. May die but will rise again.
What would be your dream ‘coffee experience’?
Having a small space of coffee shop, opening till late midnight, making coffee, talking to strangers, meeting other coffee people.
Do you have a ‘coffee crush’?
Do you mean my favourite? It is always short black.
