Dear Members,

For the AGM this year, you are warmly invited to Toitoi, at the Hawkes Bay Arts and Events Centre in Hastings on Friday 24 May. Keep Thursday 23 May free for a pre-AGM event. We have a quiz master lined up and are looking at activities such as apple, honey, wine, and cheese tasting. We’re backing the Bay the best way we know how, and we have some amazing achievements to celebrate.

We would like to say an amazing thanks to Sucafina who are Principal Sponsors for the 2024 AGM. Book now.

We are looking forward to seeing you all!

Thanks to all those who have supported us at the new regionals in March. It’s been an incredible month. A heartfelt thanks to those involved who give their time and energy to making NZ coffee what it is, it’s been an incredible year so far. Please read on for membership fee changes.

Important information:

A reminder that membership payments will be sent out in April 2024 via Xero.

For the first time in 12 years, we have decided to increase our membership fees. This decision to increase fees wasn’t taken lightly but is essential so that we can continue to support the evolving needs of our community and members. This fee increase will support our administration, insurance, accounting, and website fees, while also allowing us to grow as an organisation.

This fee increase represents a continuing commitment to elevating the specialty coffee industry in Aotearoa, empowering our community to thrive, and fostering a more sustainable and prosperous future for all stakeholders involved.

We appreciate your ongoing support of the NZSCA.

Below is our self-assessed membership structure along with our new fees, based on net turnover.

Self-nominating tiers:
Small: turnover is less than $1 million per annum
Medium: turnover is more than $1 million per annum, less than $3 million per annum
Large: turnover is more than $3 million per annum.

New pricing structure:
Small $300 -> $350
Medium $600 -> $700
Large $1200 -> $1400

If you’re not sure what tier you’re on, or if you don’t believe you’re in the right tier, please let us know via info@nzsca.org

Thank you.
