Since its inception in 2012, Melbourne International Coffee Expo (MICE) has become the leading coffee trade expo in the Southern Hemisphere.

The next incarnation promises all the best bits MICE is known and respected for, as well as some exciting new segments that will drive further audience engagement and ensure that MICE continues to bring value to the coffee industry and promotes Australia as a world-leading coffee innovator.

Fixture on the international calendar

MICE will take place from 20-22 March 2025 and will remain in March moving forward to ensure that the coffee community both in Australia and internationally, can include MICE in annual planning.

Engaging with a broader audience

MICE is actively working to engage with a broader audience, encompassing restaurants and hospitality businesses, QSR, hotels, and retail stockists. While cafés remain the core audience, the show will expand to include additional segments that are seeking premium coffee options for their businesses. MICE will also act with more intention when it comes to the consumer audience, hosting specialised sessions that target end users and allowing dedicated space for the B2B audience.

Expanding on education

The 2025 installment will feature even more in the way of educational sessions for cafés, consumers, and others involved in the sector. The stages will focus on practical business advice when it comes to profitability, marketing, and menu design, while consumer sessions will hone in on the skills needed to make an incredible coffee at home.

Coffee discovery journey

MICE aims to educate consumers and industry alike when it comes to the coffee journey and the importance of fair pricing. By exploring the journey of the coffee bean from crop to cup, and meeting those people involved in producing quality coffee, MICE will highlight how critical pricing is for the future of the industry.

Government and trade support

MICE will engage with government and trade bodies to allow Australian companies to explore international opportunities more easily. The event will increase marketing efforts to attract an international audience that is actively seeking to purchase premium Australian goods and services.
