Sponsorship opportunities and outlines

Sponsorship 2026

NZSCA offers multiple ways for companies to engage with and support the coffee community, including event sponsorship. Below is an overview of our sponsorship process:

  • Initial calls for sponsorship are announced via our website, e-newsletter, and social media.
  • Interested parties receive detailed outlines and deadlines. Championship events typically run on three-year contracts, with some single-year options. If multiple parties express interest in the same category, a tender process may be initiated.
  • Tender submissions are reviewed by the Board and Event Committee through digital proposals and, where applicable, online Q&A sessions. Questions from both sides are encouraged.
  • Proposals are evaluated using a fair sponsorship matrix, and decisions are made by vote based on proposal quality and its impact on the event and coffee community.
  • Agreements are assessed on overall value, not solely financial contributions.
  • To avoid conflicts of interest, Board and Committee members submitting tenders on behalf of their companies are excluded from the decision process all remaining Board members are expected to exclude themselves if they perceive any conflict of interest to ensure fari and transparent system.
  • Certain events, including championships, community gatherings, and the AGM & Recognition Awards, may involve single-year or single-event contracts. Some are confirmed on a first-in basis, subject to Board and Committee review.

Our progressive sponsorship levels:

PRINCIPAL SPONSOR

There is only one. The leading Sponsor of the event is afforded the most visible branding and presence throughout all media and the event. This includes financial support towards the running costs of the event, alongside products and/or equipment for use within the event. This modern elevation of sponsorship aims to feature campaign messages such as “NZ X Championship proudly sponsored and brought to you by {your company/brand} in conjunction with other company sponsors.”

SPONSOR

Branding on collateral and financial support of the running costs of the event, alongside products and/or equipment for use within the event.

EVENT PARTNER

Financial support for the event. Present on the day of the event, no branding or logo is used in the event collateral. Includes the opportunity to connect and talk at the event.

NZSCA Events and Championships events can provide an outstanding business opportunity to potential partners by:

  • Providing a unique environment in which to promote products and increase brand awareness and company awareness
  • Exposure to a targeted audience through separate events, and the associated public relations and marketing campaigns
  • Association, branding, and recognition as a key partner to the only national industry-run coffee competitions (Championship Events)
  • Attempting, where possible, to limit the number of sponsors so that maximum exposure is afforded to them
  • Curating a sponsorship group that is complementary to each other, avoiding any crossover of the core product range

We are incredibly grateful for all sponsorship offerings. Our sincere thanks to everyone involved in this journey to evolve and improve our industry.

Current Sponsorship opportunities and confirmed sponsor categories:

We are open to other sponsorship categories than the listed, providing they are complementary to each other and avoid any crossover of the core product range.
