Sponsoring an NZSCA event is one of the most rewarding ways for your company to get involved and give back to the specialty coffee community. Our championships, gatherings, and awards bring the industry together, and our sponsors and partners are what make them possible. We would love for you to be part of it.
Why partner with us
An NZSCA partnership is a genuine business opportunity, and a chance to support the people and the craft behind great New Zealand coffee. As a sponsor, you will:
- Promote your products in a unique environment and build brand and company awareness
- Reach a targeted, engaged audience through our events and their associated PR and marketing
- Gain association, branding, and recognition as a partner of New Zealand’s only national, industry-run coffee championships
- Benefit from limited sponsor numbers per category, wherever possible, so each partner gets maximum exposure
- Sit within a curated group of complementary, non-competing partners
How sponsorship works
We keep our process open, fair, and straightforward:
- Each call for sponsorship is announced first on our website, then through our e-newsletter and social media.
- Interested parties receive sponsorship outlines, available categories, and key deadlines. Championship events usually run on three-year terms, with some single-year options available.
- Where several parties are interested in the same category, we run a tender. Proposals are reviewed by the Board and Event Committee, with questions welcomed from both sides.
- Decisions are made by vote and assessed on the overall package, not financial contribution alone. To protect fairness, any Board or Committee member tendering on behalf of their own company is excluded from that decision. Any Board members that are deemed to have a conflict of interest will be expected to recuse themselves from this process
Sponsorship levels
We offer a range of sponsorship and partnership levels to suit different businesses and goals. You will find each level, what it includes, and the events available to support set out in full in our Sponsorship Prospectus.
Current opportunities
We welcome enquiries across all of our events and categories, and we are always open to complementary categories beyond those listed, provided they avoid any crossover with our existing partners. Key Dates
- Friday 30 October 2026: Expressions of interest close. Email us with the event and category you’re interested in, and we’ll send you our opportunities and investment guide and an application form.
- Friday 27 November 2026: Applications close.
- Friday 4 December 2026: Successful parties notified.
