World Brewers Cup is being held in Budapest, Hungary 13th – 15th June in conjunction with the ‘World of Coffee Event’
The NZ Specialty Coffee Association (NZSCA) holds the license for the national leg of the Brewer’s Cup Championship. The competition is held in strict accordnce with the World event.
About the New Zealand Brewers Cup:
The New Zealand Brewers Cup competition highlights the craft of filter coffee brewing by hand, promoting manual coffee brewing and service excellence.
In this Championship, competitors prepare and serve three individual beverages for a panel of judges. The NZ Championship consists of two rounds– a compulsory service and an open service.
For the compulsory service, competitors prepare three beverages using whole bean coffee provided to them by the competition.
For the open service, competitors may use any whole bean coffee of their choosing and must also accompany their beverage preparation with a presentation.
The competitor with the highest combined score will be named the 2017 NZ Brewers Cup Champion.
All competitiors will need to be on site by 8am for the compulsory service practice times & compulsory service section of the championship.
