Caffeination is set to be ‘the biggest coffee event in New Zealand’
Four days focussing on everything coffee. Coffee classes, coffee roasting, coffee stories, equipment, coffee, coffee, coffee. The aim is for every visitor to leave with a whole new appreciation and knowledge about coffee. Not only will Caffeination boast a huge range of stalls, visitors will also have the opportunity to watch some of the country’s finest coffee practitioners in action, and partake in some of the various workshops on offer, hosted by the New Zealand Barista Guild.
As well as the barista champs next door, the NZSCA will be hosting four days of competitions over four days from 19-22 March including the Meadow Fresh NZ Latte Art Championship, Huhtamaki NZ Cup Tasters Championship, and the Aeropress Brewers Cup Championship. There are prizes, glory and travel for the top of their class, with each respective competitor having the opportunity to represent New Zealand on a world stage. Being in a central New Zealand location, And a central location within Wellington – right on the waterfront – Wellington is a great setting for such a coffee showcase. Best of all, Caffeination — the New Zealand Festival of Coffee will bring together coffee lovers, aficionado’s and experts within the industry over a two-day extravaganza that is expected to attract thousands.
With four different workshops, the World Barista Champion Hidenori Izaki attending, a movie theatre that includes the showing of “A Film About Coffee”, and coffee industry leaders – Caffeination promises to educate, inform, network and showcase the very best of coffee and related products. It will be the coffee event not to miss!
Coffee lovers will be treated to tastings from numerous coffee roasters and brands, and they’ll learn all about the different ways their favorite drink can be served. They’ll even discover exactly how to make that perfect cup of coffee within the comfort of their own home.
