What is your core business? At BioPak we offer quality, sustainable products with unbeatable customer service. We offer compostable packaging solutions as an alternative to plastic such as coffee cups, plates, cutlery, straws, and other packaging solutions.
When did you start trading? 2006
Give us a three-sentence summary of your company:
Our mission is to create sustainable packaging that puts the planet first. At BioPak we champion the transition to a circular economy with industry-leading products made from plants. Our product range is predominantly made from renewable materials and certified compostable.
Who are your customers? Cafes, restaurants, retail, wholesalers and distributors, quick service retail, consumers, packaging and waste industry, media, charities, etc.
Describe your ideal customer: Anywhere where food and coffee is served
How do you reach your customers? (online, storefront, in person, on the phone, etc) Online and on the phone
What’s something you sell/offer that not many people might know about: Retail pack solutions, custom moulded pulp solutions, custom branded packaging
What has been the project/concept/service that you’re most proud of? We have recently launched certified home compostable coffee cups and lids (AS5810), coated with a water-based Aqueous solution. Pairing these with our certified home compostable (AS5810) and award-winning lids made from plant fibre, means that we can now offer a complete home compostable solution.
What gets you and your team out of bed in the morning? Why do you do what you do?
We are a group of people passionate about the environment, and we strive to make everything we can to reduce our impact on the environment and make the world a better place.
Do you think the expertise of the industry is appreciated by the general coffee-drinking public? As a frontrunner in sustainable packaging solutions, we continuously endeavor to innovate and remain up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
In an ideal world, where would you like to see the future of our industry? With more and more single-use plastic bans, the future of cups and for compostable packaging is looking bright. We are working with the industry to always release the best solutions.
What’s in the future for your company? Any current projects that you are proud of? The road ahead for Cu isn’t straightforward, but BioPak will guide you, ensuring you have the best circular economy solution with growing end-of-life options at all times with no interruption to supply.
